    With this privacy statement we would like to inform you about what personal information we collect, why we do so, how long we keep it, what your privacy rights are and how you can exercise them.

     

    PREVAIL is a project supported by the Digital European Program, where four major European RTOs – CEA-Leti, imec, Fraunhofer, and VTT– have joined forces to establish and operate the core of a networked, multi-hub platform. This platform will provide prototype chip fabrication capabilities in advanced technology to EU stakeholders for Artificial Intelligence applications.

     

    Imec is responsible for this website, which is part of the PREVAIL project and is also responsible for the processing of the personal information collected via this website.

     

     

    What personal information do we collect?

    This website collects the following personal information about you:

    • Organization
    • Email address
    • Questions/remarks

    Why do we collect your personal information?

     

    Your personal information is collected to be able to provide you with the requested services and information. This can be:

     

    • To provide you access to the information on our website, e.g. when you use the ‘search’ function.
    • To be able to contact you when you request more information or when you complete the contact form.
    • To send you a newsletter and/or information about our activities if you subscribed for these services via the sign-up form.
    • To inform you about practicalities regarding event registration.

    What is the legal ground for this processing activity? 

    The personal information you provide through the contact form, the registration for the newsletter and the subscription for updates are gathered based upon your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

     

    The technical information such as your IP address and the browser settings are gathered based upon legitimate interest to guarantee a safe and secure website that meets the current market standards.

     

    The browsing behavior information is collected with your consent which is managed through cookies. These cookies can be managed at any given time via the cookie statement).

     

    How long will your personal information be stored? 

    Personal information will not be kept longer than necessary for the purpose for which they were collected. This means that your personal information will be deleted 3 years after the last contact. If you request us to delete this personal data and withdraw your consent for processing, they will also be deleted.

     

    Who will have access to your personal information?

     

    Imec may share your personal information, collected via the contact form or subscription to the newsletter, with the partners of the PREVAIL project at which point the receiving partners will become responsible for their further processing of your personal information.

     

    There are also situations in which imec is legally obliged to provide personal information to others This always concerns special circumstances such as compliance with applicable laws and regulations or legal proceedings.

     

    Imec uses systems that are not hosted by imec. Your personal information will then be processed in these systems on behalf of imec. Imec ensures that contracted vendors use systems that offer an appropriate level of data protection.
